Free Online Training at Mason Faculty, staff, and students at George Mason University have access to free online training supporting learning for IT professionals (UNIX, Network Security, etc.), IT end users (MS Office, select software applications), and business professionals (Communication, Team Building, Project Management, Sexual Harassment, etc.). This session will clarify available modules, explore how managers, supervisors and other individuals can most effectively use the system, and answer questions about our SkillPort Web site and catalog. Find out how to leverage this resource as a professional development tool, and how faculty and students might use the system to address core or remedial skills outside of the classroom. Dr. Star Muir, Director, Learning Support Services and Marlys Shoup, Training Manager, Learning Support Services will be hosting this Dialogue on March 23, 2-3:00 pm, in Innovation Hall's 4th floor conference room on the Fairfax Campus. It will be videoconferenced to Prince William Campus, Occoquan Hall, room 221, and Arlington Campus, O Building, room 335. Faculty and staff welcome! RSVP's requested to ritz@gmu.edu. |
